It will work well for a little one.
I assume thats a ceramic heater?
You can use that to heat the cage, if nite temps go below 50f. You will need a basking bulb for during the day though. A regular house bulb is best. What type of chameleon will you be getting?:)

Also: What type of bulb is in the linear fixture?

I definitely agree with jannb about adding more horizontal branches-- you want to give your chameleon plenty of places to climb around! :)

I was planning on using the ceramic heater as the basking bulb, is that no good? The linear bulb is a Reptisun 5.0. I'm getting a Juvenile veiled male from FLChams, and I know the cage is small for an adult, I'm saving for a new one here in the next couple months. I figure that this will last him that time though. How are you guys attatching horizontal branches to the mesh?? I had a hell of a time with the one and ended up having to use some bendable vines to run it around the supports on the cage. The push pins idea was great, but i couldn't get them to stick in or be stable. Ill see what kind of bowl I can find at the petstore. The lady at the petstore also recommended a waterfall. I wanted to ask you guys about that. It may be great for humidity, but it was a pricey little item to splurge on for a cham to not use. do you guys recommend them?

I dont use anything to secure vines. I just "weave" them all together.
The CHE will not work for basking. Use a 75watt house bulb instead. If that is too hot, try a lower watt, or move it further back.;)

Weaving the vines is what I ended up doing another user suggested using paperclips bent out to run through the mesh and secure outside the cage, just a good thought. Thanks for the advice on the heating element, I'll get some lightbulbs at the store today. The ceramic heater will still come in handy though. cold winter Montana nights aren't easy. Thanks for all of your help!

You may also want to put some rocks in the bottom of the plants so any failed attempts at crickets wont end up with a mouth full of dirt and become impacted. But other then that and what others mentioned it looks really good. Your chameleon should be very happy. :)

Thanks! I didn't even think about the dirt, thanks for the suggestion.
