i’m currently getting a panther chameleon in about 2 weeks and i’m getting his enclosure set up. i think i set up everything correctly. is there anything i need to add or do to his set up. his basking branch and uvb branch are both 6 inches from the top of the screen and i’m using a 60watt and t5 arcadia 6% and a jungle dawn for the plants. I have the repashy superfoods SUPERCAL NOD, and the repashy calcium plus LOD

Looking really good and congrats on your new baby. With the prot5 and 6% bulb you want 8-9 inches from the bottom of the UVB fixture to the branches to put the cham in the right UVI level. For a baby you want to raise UVB and heat off the screen top 4 inches so you would put in some temp branches that you can easily pull later when he stops screen climbing the top panel. Your branches being 6 inches down you might consider while UVB is raised 4 inches to put in a temp branch about 1-2 inches above your current basking level. This way your total distance from bottom of uvb to the temp branches right below it is 8-9 inches.
But you raise fixtures up to keep baby in safe temps and UVI level on the screen.

Your feeder is a bit too high. You want it eye level for the chams view from basking and you need to make sure that there is a branch very close to it so the baby can easily get to it and target into it.

okay thank you, how about the supplements are those okay

Perfect! Supercal NoD at every feeding and LoD one feeding every other week (or twice a month if you prefer). Dust lightly. No little snowman bugs. Love your set up and that you’ve gotten edumucated and prepared in advance of getting your chameleon. 💗
thank you

Your looking for a 3.0 UVI level at the branch. New bulbs will be stronger the first few weeks until they burn in.

So your humidity is going to vary through out the cage. At the top it will be lower due to the heat from the lighting. THen as you move down away from lights it will increase into the plants.

Note I would remove the fake flowers some of these can leach color and it just is not a surface I would want a chameleon to drink from.

You can put the film on the door panel as well. You would then have the top of the cage and the bottom service door screen. This creates more of a chimney effect within the cage. You can also adjust your misting sessions morning and late afternoon. If you are dealing with a lower ambient level having a longer misting session will combat this. I recommend changing one or two things at a time and then observing where your levels sit.
