hey guys I am wondering if a XL reptibreeze cage (2x2x4feet) is too big for a 4 month old male veiled chameleon? He would be coming from a breeder and they said he is really healthy and that he would be okay with cup feeding if the cage was too big. Any ideas?

He'll be fine.

As long as you provide good foliage to hide in, and you make sure he always knows where his cup is, and he can reach basking and uvb areas, he'll be good to go.

If you are really worried, you can partion part of the cage off so he cant use as much o fit until he gets bigger.

Just make sure to have the empty space filled with climbing opportunities. If you leave wide gaps he will want to climb the screen top and sides all the time. If you have branches close to the sides and top he will spend less time climbing the screen. See the pics at the link. This is how I setup my juvenile cages. As young as 2 months old can go into a screen cage as long as there are varying diameter branches and other climbing pathways.

he would have lots of stuff to climb on, I have anchored the jungle vine stuff to the screen using beading wire like my other cham's enclosure.
