He is sick, hasn't used his tongue in approx 3 weeks. He would attempt to get close to food and eat that way, but to no avail. I've held him n put food to his mouth, but nothing. Ive had him for 3 years and he's never had a single health problem.Is your chameleon sick? That would be a question you would have to ask them. Where do you live? I might be able to recommend a reptile vet.

Absolutely agree with above.
Mine had some gas to put to sleep ( however she was almost dead anyway tbf sorry to be blunt) then she was injected, and stayed with the vet!!
I was too heartbroken to have her home ( under the circumstances of how she became to be euthanised), they kept her and I paid extra for crematorium...
