Oh my! Here’s the non-chameleons currently in my home. With the exception of those who reside in tanks, this is my entourage. * I adore cats but there’s 2 too many right now.

With his mis-matched eye set, I tell strangers he's as crazy as he looks ?
Heterochromia iridum, but you know that. ?
I've always been fascinated and enamored by the trait—in animals or people. But I'm not so gaga as to get heterochromatic contacts or anything...

On the other hand, he is incredibly bright, trick training is a cinch!
Don't I know it! I've been training dogs since high school (early '70s)
I believe BCs are said to be the most intelligent of dogs.

Yup—they're right up there—usually in the Top 5 IME. Our first dog (together as a couple) was a BC. She was also a balloholic — sweet if you can get the 2 traits (high intelligence, balloholism) together in the same sack!

After she passed of deteriorating old age (16) came my 1st & 2nd service dogs—both Labs—one black, one chocolate. The first was sweet, but dumber'n a bag-o-hammers. The second is the smartest dog I've ever had or known—scary smart.
He's beginning to show signs of age too.

Most of the smartest bowsers it's been my privilege to know have been mutts. ;)
