Exo terra multi vitamin ? Petsmart idiots !

Ok so I got my first ever chameleon.. She is panther and about 5 and a half month old.. There were some complications with the calcium I was given for her so I went to Petsmart I'm Mississauga and the service was retarded.. First I asked if anyone can help me.. 25 minute wait and the same lady came to help.. She was not much help apparently because she assured me that chameleons only require exo terra multivitamin every day and nothing else... I was a bit sceptical at first thinking this is too easy... But 2 minutes reading up on it and I am pretty sure it is clear that they need other calcium to live.. Like d3 etc... And this was my first question too, does this have d3 in it ?..After dealing with that I figured I would grab a hornworm for her so I waited and waited for time for the staff to come get the worm, waited and waited.. My dad just opened the cage and I took the faking worm lol

So do chameleons only require exo terra multivitamin powder sup ? Or do they require multiple calciums ?

Oh and I also bought a timer for my light.. I asked if I was able to put a splitter on it so I can have 2 lights plugged in.. She quickly replied yes you can that would work just fine sir.. I get home and read the back of the box saying do not use splitters or any other plugs with this timer as it may cause damage and or complications..

So far the worker at Petsmart should not be aloud to work at a fast food restraint let alone a store with living animals..

This is a pic I took of Bonnie !

gutloadning.
perently many species are sesitive to overuse of D3 the amouth pf vitamines will depend on the species

A lot of folks use plain calcium (no phosphorous, no D3) at every feeding (except on prey items naturally high in calcium), calcium with D3 2x's a month, and vitamins 2x's a month. There are a few all in one supplements, but I don't know if the one you have is one of those.

Here's a link to the site's care sheet for panthers, it has a lot of good information on it:

I just looked up the brand supplement you have, and it has no calcium at all. I think it would be fine to use it 2x's a month, but not every day, and not without the other 2 different calcium supplements in the proper rotation.

Thanks for response.. I am going to return the thing I got from petsmart and go back to get the proper stuff from the breeder that sold me the Cham.. This little guy has been pretty expensive so far.. I only have a basic terrarium and the proper accessories and it cost about $410 that's without the chameleon.. And I only used the vitamin one feeding.. So the only thing the Cham never got since I got her was calcium with d3.. She still very active and looks amazing..:D I'm done with asking questions at the pet stores.. Can never get a correct answer..
