Exo Terra vs ZooMed Glass Terrarium

Hello, I recently purchased a 1 month old, male, Veiled cham, who goes by the name of Char (short for Charmander), and as of right now I have just a plain old screen cage but due to water going through onto my wall when misting Im considering getting a glass terrarium. Im curious as to which one to pick and what the pros and cons are of having a glass terrarium. Im just trying to keep the heat down and the humidity up and with this cage neither of those things happen.
So if you could please point me in the way of what i could do? or how i could help adjust the heat/ humidity while i get a new cage? :) :p

I don't think either company makes one that would be suitable for a veiled, they're too small.
To stop water going through the screen, you can block it with a barrier. People have used plastic, coroplast, shower curtain, light diffuser panels, and the shrink to fit window film that you use to keep out drafts in the winter. Any one of those options will help keep the water in the cage.

The Dragon Strand Breeder series was designed specifically to offer a cage large enough for a chameleon and also keep mist in the cage. These have solid walls for mist retention and screen front and top for proper ventilation.

You can check them out here Dragon Strand Breeder Series

Please don't put your chameleon in a glass terrarium. Bad for them altogether. If you have the means, get the Dragonstrand as mentioned above. Ample natural plants will also take most of the mist if directed to the middle of the enclosure (depending on size and density of plants). Do your research and provide the best possible care for your chameleon. Also, post a picture of your enclosure for help.

I used exoterra terrarium for my jemens and It worked well enough, there a an extra large exoterra that it may suit a grown up jemen

I was definitely leaning more toward Exoterra. Quick question, its touch handling the crickets and he seems to be over them so is there an easy alternative?

From what I studied there are a lot of obstacles to keeping any creature in a glass enclosure - you have to clean it more often to prevent mold which is really common in a closed humid enclosure.

But I agree either can work, just do some heavy research on the glass enclosure before committing to it. Putting a towel behind your cage when you mist might be a better situation then using a glass enclosure over all. Remember they do seem to need more frequent cleaning than a screen one.

Despite comments to the contrary, chameleons can be kept very effectively in glass terrariums, provided the proper enclosure-specific husbandry is provided. In reality, that is no different than what is required of screen enclosures. If you fail to provide the appropriate husbandry for your setup and environment, you are not going to be successful in the long term. Further, Exo Terra now makes terrariums as large as 36"x18"x36". These are not cheap by any means, but are plenty big enough for a veiled or panther. Here are a couple threads and articles you can check out to get you started (although note they were written prior to Exo Terra producing the larger models):

Personally, I prefer the Exo Terra Glass Terrariums to the ZooMed version. I used both and while there are certain things I liked about both, I think the Exo Terra's are better made. I had no end of trouble with the ZooMed latch mechanism. On the other hand, the Dragon Strand enclosures are an excellent intermediate between a full screen enclosure and a glass terrarium, and you may decide this is more appropriate for your needs and desires.
