There is nothing visible to me obstructing his eye. I showed him the videos I took of the deep blinking he's been doing and it's only the 1 eye. He's eating and drinking like normal. He also told me to give him his vitamins every other week just for the next 4 weeks.I havent caught up but I have a female who has reoccuring issues with her eyes (keratin buildup). I took her to the vet numerous times over a year requesting her eyes be flushed, and it was always “something else.” Finally the 4th vet (not kidding) knew how to and finally flushed her eyes. In 10 minutes they got the buildup out and gave her vit a shot.
Its been 2 or so years but shes having issues again. Same standard supplementation as the other 9 chams, she just has different needs. I’m sure Beman and MissSkittles got your husbandry reviewed, but its worth vet visit to check his vit a and get his eyes flushed. Its an outpatient process.
I also keep emergency first aid saline wash tubes on hand. I use them somewhat often between 10 animals. It seems like once a month one has an itchy eye or shed Stuck or irritating them. Its been helpful to lubricate their eyes to help soften and work it out. Not the same as the real flush the vet will do, but similiar idea.
