Eyes sealed shut?

Hey guys, I have a baby female panther a little over a month old. She had been closing her left eye a lot the past couple days but she was eating every day and drinking water every time I sprayed her cage. This evening after I finished homework I was looking at her and noticed she had not ate today. I put up a little bowl to where she can see it from her basking spot, usually I'll leave 5 to 7 crickets in there every day and she will usually eat them all by the end of the day. I took her out and she started to panic and couldn't open her eyes. I put her schefflara plant in the shower and let it mist her as I have read, using pretty warm water but not hitting directly on her. After about a minute both eyes were open and she was walking around on the leaf but it seemed she was still in a panic. I took her back to her cage and put her under her basking spot (85 to 90 degrees). Now she seems to be sleeping and I have turned off her light since it's pretty late now. Not sure what to do or if she has an eye infection or if the humidity level is not high enough. I appreciate the help. I love these creatures and this is my first one, I plan on raising many in the future and making this a hobby of mine, so hit me with the knowledge! :)

Sorry for your loss. Hopefully you won't distance yourself from chameleons after this loss. Buying a chameleon under 3 months of age is a big risk, babies are very very sensitive and might die of reasons that seem to be unknown.
Maybe if you shared all the information asked on "how to ask for help" thread then we could find the most likely reason of her death and you will be ready for your next cham that will live long and happy, hopefully.
