falling in love with my feeders.....

Bugs are awesome! It can be really hard to feed off insects that are cool. I've raised lots of cool insects that would have been great food items but just couldn't do it.

Mantis are the perfect example. If your getting some ghosts your gonna think they are so cool they will become another pet.

I know - but I am kinda in the " keep it for a bit, then feed it off" when they are close to the end of their life cycle, but I have to admit, I am ALMOST enjoying the feeders as much as the chams as far as watching them ( the mantis mostly) and I am feeding off the male silk moths ;)
There are so many aspects of cham keeping- and everyday I come to the forum and read, I learn things I did not know everyday - but that could be any one of us- lol - one can never know it all :p ( although my 16 yr old daughter thinks she knows more about life than I do  )

today I am going to get readings on all my lights - see what the uvb is on each one- get ready for winter- I soooo envy you Southern keepers

Fireplace soot pix are ok. kinda like the ink blot test. it is when you see a mother theresa pix on your grill cheese or a jesus looking potato chip, that i would worry. both by the way are reported stories, however which was which though i am not positive. when the kids are scared that's a whole other story. it is always the kids who see the ghosts before they attack the parents (every movie). Even the original poltergeist movie was supposedly true. they had all kinds of things happen on set and people who died. even carol anne the main little star died. god i love this stuff. you should come to outer banks, nc the most haunted place in the world, so it is said. i saw some creepy, totally unexplainable stuff there. (ie the howard johnson house) . I actually got goose bumps just remembering it. ripleys believe it or not's most of their tv show ghost stories were from nc. anyway, if your furniture stacks up, RUN.
