Favorite MMORPG

I can respect that. Although I will point out it is not a dichotomy ;)

I never thought it was a dichotomy, I'm just focusing on a different game is all.

There was a while just after I got out of high school in that awkward age where between 18 and 21 where there really isn't anything to do that I was literally playing with different groups at least 4 nights a week and writing games the other 3. I wish I still had some of the stuff I wrote. Typical cray author I threw away or burned most of it when I was going through a change in styles... Damn I was Jack wagon when I was young!

Completely off topic (hey, its my thread!)

DANG! I just got done cold stratifying some pinguicula seeds earlier this week. I had no idea how many seeds I sowed, I litterally have like 100 ping seedlings popping up now! (And I did not even sow all of them! I still have a bunch left over!)

Cant wait to see how many cephalotus seedlings I get :D

They're going to try to eat you ya know.

That is awesome, I plan to order a couple of the collections from California Carnivores pretty soon here. I can't seem to stop staring at all pictures of these damned plants!

My favorites are the different Sundews but I like them all.

Oh yeah? I have a bunch of sundew seedlings too (I grow a lot of CPs from seed, saves money). Gonna start a bunch this weekend. Probably a flat of Drosera regia. I have been doing experiments on it.
Any particular sundews you looking at? Or particular forms? One cool thing about droseras is the wide variation within the genus. A Drosera regia looks absolutely nothing like a Drosera paradoxa which in turn looks nothing like a drosera prolifera. Huge differences in every way.

Tip of advice, don't go out of your way to pay for a Drosera capensis. You'll end up with tons as hitchikers for free before long. Same with Utricularia bisquimata or Utricularia subulata. They are all practically weeds!

one, arent carnivorous plants very difficult to propagate?

and two ive never had friends nerdy enough to pen and paper rpg with. sounds like a hella good time especially if the participants are inebriated to some extent and get overly adamant about their character portrayal.

just throwing it out there "Quest for the Enchiridion" adventuretime reference.

DORKS UNITE!

One, depends on the species, some are annoyingly easy

I have very little experience in fact I have none other than some venus fly traps I killed when I was a kid. I just started checking them out when you posted your first thread on them and I really want to give them a go! I have been reading but it will take me awhile to get all the names matched up with the pictures in my head.

I want to start with some I can grow in a terrarium with a florescent grow light or in a window.

If the window is very bright I would look at tropicals and subtropicals. Drosera capensis is hard to beat and a first CP. They are very robust, tolerant of less than ideal conditions, they show notocable signs of stress so you can act on them but they tend to bounce back from problems very well and pretty quickly. If you are doing the terrarium thing, you have a lot of options as you can tweek conditions, make sure you have good solid ventilation though.

Others that would be good (as far as drosra go), drosera deilsiana is great! One of my favorites! Drosra binata (or any in the binata complex as its called, google search drosers binata complex for a list of varieties). Would be worth trying although they tend to get big and leggy. Drosera multifida 'extrema' is my favorite in the complex. These can be a little bit fussy at times, at least for me, but they can take a real beatting. I would hold off on tuberous for now, except perhaps drosera peltata(which is entering its dormancy period now anyway. Mine is almost complely dormant right now).

I will say, another member PMed me about CPs that have more relaxed light requirements, I am going to look into this tomorrow evening, I'll let you know what I find out.

As I'm looking I decided I like them all. This could be a problem as I don't have that much space! Too bad they would probably kill the frogs they would look awesome in my frog tank.

They might not. I feel like I read somewhere about people putting CP's in with frogs.

Have you checked out the ICPS site yet? Lots of good info there. Good organization:
