Female veild chameleon sleep schedule backwards

U should really feed in the a.m early the better, so the afternoon she can bask and digest all food intake.
I tend to feed 6/8 med crickets around 8 a.m ( lights come on at 7 automatically) and at lunch time silk worms ( when I have them)!!

enclosure should be completely black at night , if u need a heat source at night id use ceramic bulb with no glow.

I'm pretty sure if u have this in place ur cham will get into a good rountine of day and night.
my cham has light 7am untill 9.00pm then 9.00p.m until 7.00a.m complete darkness.

my baby will tend to go find her sleepin place about 1-2 hours before she goes to sleep.
Thank you! That was very helpful. Where can I find a bulb with no glow do you know?

Actually, do you buy your worms online? I heard of people doing that but it kind of scares me not knowing where the food is coming from. But the only time I'm able to get worms around here is at an animal expo we have once a month, but I never have time to go frequently. So if you have a trusted website for fun snack worms for my Gladys, I'd really appreciate it! If not that's okay I just thought I'd ask :)

For raising the temperature at night use a ceramic heat emitter, just use a low wattage one like 60 or so watts. And shopping online is waaaay better than in stores. Most stores don't raise their own feeders, they buy from big box breeders and don't take care of their enclosures so the crickets likely can carry parasites like pinworms. When you shop online you get directly from the source and get to pick and choose who you are buying from. Stores likely just buy the cheapest of what's available and stick with it.
