First post, first babies :D

Just wanted to post my first babies. They are Deremensis, and they were a big OOPS. I live in Puerto Rico so these chameleons shouldn't even be here. Someone got Camila shipped here by mistake and when her health started declining he gave her to me. She was very dehydrated with her eyes closed and wouldn't eat (that's another story). When I started doing the research I found out her temperature requirements. But the story doesn't end since she was also gravid. She had 31 eggs, all fertile. One weekend there was a problem with the electricity and my incubator was shut down for more than 24 hours. After that, the eggs kept dying until there were just 18 :( . Well exactly 4 months later 15 beautiful babies were born. They are almost 1 month now :) and they are soo nice and cute!

Congrats!!!!! beautiful deremensis babies

sorry about the female:(

BUT here babies will live on for her:)

Welcome to the forum. Contras on the baby deremensis, I currently have a clutch of 21 of them. This is my first clutch of deremensis, but I have raised several other kinds.

I also recieved my first ever baby mellers today. Life here is great.:D:D

Thanks :D She did make it, and looks great... she's really lazy though lol I have her in my room in an artificial tree I made her, and she never wonders around. At least with the a/c in my room she's more comfortable, Puerto Rico's tropical temperatures are not for her.

They look so cute :) can i have one i have a jackson but i want another chameleon if u want, send me a private message later :)

Does anyone know when will I start to see the dots of the horns growing? I'm anxious to know how many males/females I have. I read somewhere 3 months.

The horn buds are normally visible at birth, you just have to look really closely. They won't actually show horn growth until around 6 months I believe.

EDIT: you have a nice camera, take a few shots of them head on and you will probably be able to see the buds.

Our Babis are just a few days apart. My babies will be 3 months on 11/11. If we were close we could swap babies. My group is 12 males & 9 females, what did yours come out to be?

I will soon post them for sale, it's been 3 crazy months with these babies, don't know how I'm going to say goodbye to them :(
