Free Chameleon!!!

Update on hope! She is still on the tube feeding and about to be done with it. She is starting to become a little interested in crickets so I expect her to have them in the next couple of days. She drinks like a camel! Checked her urates and they are a nice white! Best of all, she is moving all over the cage like crazy and has a ton of strength. Even is getting curious about climbing again. I wish I had a picture but my phone has been screwy lately. Ill try and get one soon.
 
This is such an amazing story. Things like this make me glad to be a part of this chameleon community. Definitely post some picture :)
 
That's so great. twatts, you are amazing. I hope the OP is following or you are keeping him informed because he deserves credit in this too. It took tremendous maturity to realize he needed to give Hope up. Him being mature and selfless made this possible almost as much as your dedication, time and money (I'm not discounting your investments, I'm not...but I want him to know he made your efforts possible, many would not have done what he did).
 
You have came so far with hope. Honestly you have went way beyond what I thought was possible. I hate to disagree but I think you deserve ALL the credit. To let the Cham get in that condition and then be "willing" to give him up after the drive you made to get the Cham & had to talk the guy into letting you take a Cham in that shape? You are a superstar in my book!! Oh yes, IMHO

Thank you for the kind words :) I have had a lot of help from my fiance and from my coworker Tommy and of course the fine members of this forum !!!

Twatts it's people like you and your family that deserve everything in the world and yet you ask for nothing in return but a healthy chameleon! We should all strive to step up and take on life as you do and this world would be a much more caring place. But until then I'm happy that people like you and your fiancé exist!! Thank you for caring!
 
Btw she's beautiful! That green is just gorgeous! She will be forever grateful for the care you gave her
 
I may get chastised for this post, but I feel compelled.

I hate to say this, but there seems to be a lot of things here that just seem to be due to improper homework and preparations for the needs of a Cham.

Maybe this can be a lesson to those that are considering getting something that requires so much care and attention.

This is truly a sad story.
