Free Ranging

My 6 month old Ambilobe LOVES to free range. I have a 8 foot tall fake Ficus tree next to his cage. As soon as I open it he guns it for the tree. I'm starting to feel like I'm spoiling him. Should I limit his free ranging? I just feel bad having to handle him so often to get him back into his cage to sleep. He doesn't get to upset when I handle him but... If he had it his way he would live up there!
Any advice on free ranging is welcome! Thank you!

My boys LOVE their free range. Some members free-range 24/7, as long as they have a source of UV light, food and water don't worry. If not, then limit it to a few hours to make sure he has time to drink, eat and bask. I use feeder cups, a dripper and a Reptosun fixture so that they can spend the day on the free range. My vet even commented that he can always tell when chams have a free range by their muscle tone. Can you ever truly spoil these guys too much? :D
