Gender of chameleon

So I just bought a vieled chameleon from petco ( I know that I shouldnt have but they were on sale) anyways I cannot tell if its a female/male, the guy that deals with the reptiles says hes about 4-6 months old (the chameleon) anyways I was wondering how long would it take for me to find the sex of it ? (He said the spurs aren't as define when they are this young and I should be able to tell when hes like 1 year old) Is this true ? He also said that they have been getting alot of males lately so that makes me a little less nervous for it not to be a female.

Yes they are, you should clearly see the spur on both back legs.
If you see them, it's a male :)

If in doubt, post a few pics.

Post all the pics you want, but it won't change the outcome. Seriously, post a couple more. This time focus on the center part of the heel, dead center and one or two from above or below looking up or down at heel. I will have another look. But even her coloring looks ladylike. Sorry.

You have a cute girl there! :)
And you can tell if it's a boy or girl even when they are very young. The spur is spur and is pretty obvious generally. I had a hard time at the beginning, but my experience is that if there is no obvious spur, then it is a girl. :)

I am going to try and exchange my female for a male. (hopefully they have one)

Something to ponder. Yes, it is some work to balance out the eggs, but have you ever dealt with a grumpy horny male veil? Gimme a rabbid pitbull any day!

I definitely think you should start out with a male since you are new and especially considering your age. It's very hard to keep a female alive. All my males are very friendly. It depends on where you get them and how they were raised. I am very hands on with my babies and they are extremely outgoing. Some keepers never touch their babies except to maybe put them in a shipping bag and they are scared for life.

If I ever get a veiled it will be coming from you Jann. Love you baby's.
