It sounds like you are getting into too much too soon. It is always best to have figured out the accommodations of the animals before getting them. You may have a disaster just waiting to happen. Especially a new person taking in that many adult females, which have greater needs than juveniles, I can not imagine this going well. I am sure other members will chime in soon to correct you.

panther are not going to be exported any form madagascar so i getting while i can i have other reptiles and chameleons and have food supply an space

Hello, just a couple things you need to know. First is if you are getting 9 chams, you need 9 cages. If you house more than 1 Cham per cage you are going to have problems. Have you had chams before? After you spend the money for the chameleons, you are still going to need $300 + for each of the 9 cages. Then you will need a misting system or 2 with that many cages. Do you have close to $4,000 to start keeping 9 chameleons? Just getting one cage, both a heat light, and a UVB light, some vines, a couple trees, all 3 supplements, a dripper, temp and humidity Gage's is a easy $300 +. And you do not have a misting system yet.

I would advise that you successfully keep one or two, and after you are sure you have your husbantry working well, then you can expand - but for some reason I don't think you want to hear that.

It is good that you do not have them. Food and space are only a small part of the equation. This will not end well for you or the chameleons. I also believe that you are mistaken and that they will be exported from Madagascar in the future. However, wild caught chameleons are much more difficult to take care of than captive bred and with the large availability of CB panthers, it doesn't really make sense to get a wild caught one. Starting off with 9 wild caught panthers would be a large mistake.

OK, your English is pretty good, but I was a little confused there. I have suspicions that you were given faulty information because according to CITES (http://cites.org/sites/default/files/common/quotas/2014/ExportQuotas2014.pdf) there are 3,000 Furcifer pardalis eligible to be exported in 2014, and there will most likely be a similar quota for 2015 and so on. I have never imported chameleons, so other members here will know better than I. If you are planning on breeding them for millions, I would think again. Just look in the classified section on this forum as well as at any of this sites sponsor pages. There are plenty of CB panther chameleons in this country. More than enough to sustain the market without the WC. If you look into how much it will cost to raise your baby panthers, I think that you will find that you are only able to sell them for about how much it costs to raise them. Please consider starting with 1 male and 1 female and see how it goes before you try and create a business.

I will mirror what all have said before me. Keeping your 9 Chams outside won't work year round even in Florida. It gets too hot in the summer and it gets too cold in the winter. You'll have to move them inside for this months and unless you want your whole HOUSE turned into a free range you need 9 cages. Animals should be respected for their existence not their profitability. However you aren't going to listen to us so it doesn't matter.

You will not make millions of dollars with 9 chams. You will loose thousands by getting into the hobby. It costs a lot of money to provide ample care for your chams. Espescially if they need to go to the vet. The margins are pretty bad on breeding chams and even the best don't make millions. There are a lot of competition out there and it is very difficult to sell all your little ones. Do you know the lineage of the chams you are getting?

You could keep chameleons outside in Florida almost year round, depending on where in Florida you live. A misting system is going to be a necessity, and in summer more so. If you live in Central Florida or further north they will have to come inside those few days where it gets cold (under 55ish, for my tastes).

Each animal needs its own cage, and I would do bigger than 16" x 36" if you have the room for it. I think that size is a too tight for a female to be really comfortable. There's barely room to put a laying bin in the cage.
