Getting him my new boy tomorrow!

Yay! My baby carpet cham is finally big enough to take home & I'm getting him tomorrow! He's around 2.5 months old (I'll ask his hatch date tomorrow)I'm so excited! His cage is set-up & ready for him. I'm stocked up with teeny-tiny crickets, locusts, silkies & wax worms (a peace offering!)

The journey back with him will be just under 2 hours, I hope he won't get too stressed. Be prepared for 2 weeks of a nervous parent with questions!

I've just passed my nervous first timer 2 weeks now. Had my panther 16 days now, and today was a massive massive turning point... it gets easier... I feel alot more confident now about every aspect of looking after a chameleon, and this forum is amazing, everyones so helpful!!!! I asked alot of nervous questions ;-) GOOD LUCK! they'll be plenty of pics! I've got a million questions for the breeder but I'm sure more will arise, I've been told their care is similar to that of a panthers but I've never had a panther so I'm still nervous!

This forum is great, without it I doubt I'd still have a veiled, never mind getting a second chameleon. An endlessly valuable resource

I think my baby 2 month old veiled is used to me and is eating good. I've had him now for 9 days now.

I still haven't got a name for him- I've only had about 2 months to think about it lol I'm gonna wait & see what his personality & patterns are like! I have a number of star trek names lined up, at this rate I'll have the entire cast of voyager in my living room!

I'm so excited for you! Good to know I won't be the only paranoid new mom! I swear, I think I've driven people on here crazy with my constant question about caring for my baby 4 week old veiled! Can't wait to see pictures of him. I love carpets, and tried to find one, but everywhere I saw that even had them was sold out. Good luck!
