here are a couple pics of the baby ghost mantids. They hatched 3 days ago.

Keeping the ghost mantids in a small aquarium with sticks and fake vines all together. I have a larger plastic bin for the Chinese mantids that also has sticks and vines. I mist them with water everyday and feed them fruit flies like crazy. But I am not a mantid expert. I have only raised them once before and it seemed to go pretty well.

lol - I love the pic- he is already telling your finger to BACK OFF OR YOU WILL GET A LASHING - that is one cool little buggy critter - you are not feeding those off are you ? the more I feed off my mantis - the worse I feel for them- the older they are getting, the worse I feel- Olive will be lucky to get one when they are bigger- I even hold them ( but I dont like when they jump on my face - lol )

Well my goal is to get some adults to admire and take pictures of and to also feed some off. you can only have so many as pets ya know?

I don't think I could use them as feeders either. I had a tiny one that I found on my brothers windshield. (very tiny) We had a ball watching her hunt and catch ff flies. It was awesome. Not sure why she died after about a month but she was our pet.

These guys are starting to grow up, still pretty small, but looking super cool. They are about 7 weeks old now.

I have quite the supply of ghosts right now. Some adults are already mating.

i ordered some from ssimsswiss a couple months ago and they were L3-L4 and right now they're about to molt into L6. they are almost adults, i cant wait to breed these guys! ghosts are really fun have as pets and feeders, i fed of 3 of mine but the other 5 are going for breeding.

I lost my only ghost that I got out of an ooth. I dont know what happened but I just couldnt find it in the deli cup then saw him like under the paper towel.

4 to 6 months. Depends on diet and temps.
