Gnats in cricket cage

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I didn't know if this was better here or in the food forum.

Tonight when I went to spray Kronin's cage for the last time I glanced in his cricket cage and I noticed gnats are starting to invade it. I've been wiping it out between batches of crickets. Should I be spraying it with anything also? And do the gnats pose any health risks to Kronin or his crickets?

You should be good! when you feed the crickets try putting the food on a tray or something you can pull out and clean any decomposing food off of. Also if it’s that big of a problem pull the crickets out that you plan on feeding and have a second smaller container to put them in that you can feed them in, that way you have no plant matter or anything else in your main cricket bin.
