I need a safe effective way to get rid of these annoying little shits!!! I have tried dish soap... Thay drive me CCRRRAAAAZZZZYYYYYYY pleeeaassseee help... Thanks... Johnny's wife LOL

I dusted cinnamon on top of all my soil, stones, etc that my plants were potted in. Every gnat was gone within two weeks. I cleaned up the cinnamon and they haven't returned. That was about three months ago. I heard about the cinnamon from someone here on the forums. I tried it because the dish soap technique didn't work so good for me! Good Luck! I hated those things!

let the soil dry out - fungus gnat larva only live in perpetually damp soil

cover the soil with landscape fabric or a couple inches of rocks (not sand) and this prevents the flies from laying more eggs

buy beneficial nemotodes, add to the soil

Just to be sure...this technique will not harm my chameleons right?

If you used "organic" soil, I am told that most likely added to the problem. That was the case for me. I removed the organic, replaced with sterile, then washed sand, rocks. Totally eliminated the gnats, in just about a week.
I like the cinnamon idea, make the cage smell good!!

Well, I free range and used a ton of it in my six large pots. As far as I know, neither my cham nor any of my feeders got anywhere near it. Just to be sure, you could take and treat your plants outside of your cage. Maybe put some fake plants in the cage temporarily.

And yea, I started off with organic soil! Ugh!
