Going to LA. Any nice places to go?

Oh, come on. Tommy Burgers are a unique LA institution. They've only recently expanded outside the realm. I'd almost consider the original Tommy's (with no tables, just a shelf to put your plate/elbows on and a cooler full of canned sodas) to be a "must see".

Theres a few local places to see....I like the Santa Monica Pier idea as well as the drive to see the houses...two great ideas. Hollywood of course.

Also, you should check out Venice beach, good to go to during the day, close to LA, lots of interesting things/people to see.

About the Aquarium and LA zoo...honestly..not worth the time. The zoo smells and is boring and small...the aquarium is small and its not that good. Been here 6 years so far and have not been to the tar pits...and wont.

IDK, maybe catch a Galaxy soccer game or something...or go to a casino...Morango, Pechanga, San Miguel... :)

AND OH YEA>>>> IN N OUT is a MUST!!!

If your family is interested in a zoo, then it's worth the 2 hours to drive to San Diego and see one of the best zoos in the world. Not only are the animals amazing, the San Diego Zoo has one of the best collections of plants anywhere.

i was just in hollywood last month...might be the greatest city ever!!! Stayed in the same hotel room that Janis Joplin died in!!!
Definately go to Venice beach!! I spent 4/20/2011 there...and dont miss the Venice Beach Freak Show- great people, interesting exhibits and a really cool 5 legged dog!!!
Also found this super cool store on Melrose..called Necromance- I wont visit LA in the future without stopping at this store...its great! Also spent a buncha money at a store called Wonderland- owned by Kat Von Dee and is right next to her tattoo shop..
Amoeba Records is also a great place to spend an afternoon!!
