Gravid colors?

Ok so I have read that this is probably receptive... But just checking

I have a laying bin in her terrarium and feed her 8 crickets every other day. Is that the right amount? I dust the feeders with calcium with d3 twice a month, and we are ordering calcium without d3 as we recently ran out(it was a small bottle)

She is approximately 6 months old(I've had her since June)

She is currently in a glass enclosure with a screen side, we are going to upgrade it to a bigger size& fully screen.

I have a mistking system and I also hand mist sometimes, humidity between 55-80% am I doing everything right? Anything I need to change? Any and all help appreciated thank you

She does look receptive! 8 crickets every other day is perfect. Humidity is right too. Do you use a multivitamin? Sounds like you are doing things right! pretty sure those are receptive colors.

Awesome! No I haven't used a vitamin, what kind is best I'll order some from Amazon in one morning

I use reptivite with d3 for Stark. It helps me because then I dont have to use calcium with d3. I just use the Reptivite 2 times a month. I think you may be able to get it without d3 though

When she starts to become restless and roaming the bottom on the cage is a main sign. They also start to drink more and eat less

I have heard about a month but am not completely positive. Maybe someone with more female experience will chime in. Just make sure to watch for the signs that indicate she is getting ready to lay.

Ok should I cover it with a dark towel?

A dark towel will work, white is fine to just make sure you can't see through it. Leaving a crack just large enough that you can see the lay bin to check on her is a good idea. If she does not lay for a while there is no reason to delay feeding.

I would also invest in a small postal scale, so you can monitor her weight. I weigh my female at least every other week, if not once a week. by keeping an eye on her weight, you will watch her continue to increase in weight as you notice a substantial decrease in her food intake. When this happens, you know to make sure her egg bin is accessible and ready to go.
