hello all .
i have a friend that bred her female veiled chameleon(age aprox 1year and 4-5 months old and she had 65 grams before she bred ) on 13 of march .
3-4 days ago she started to dig holes in the earth that was put in her cage.
she does this almost all the time, stays on the bottom of the cage on the soil and she digs holes.
so it passed 28 days since she bred her .
should we concern about this ? or this is normal behaviour ?
could she be egg bound ? or we just need to give her some time ?
and how much does this period untill she lays takes?
does it need to take more time untill she will lay ?
All parameters are ok ( temps, humidity, etc).
She is housed in an exo terra tank and she has a 7 inch earth substrate since she was bred .
Ah and this is the 1st time the female was bred and 1st time ever when she has eggs.
here are some pics with the bottom of the cage.
thank you .
