Green giant parsonii?

Garrett

Does he have blue cheeks and white lips? He does appear to have a greenish yellow body. That is one of the three sub phases I have consistently noticed. There is a solid Yellow Bodied Yellow Giant "Honey Parsons", Greenish/Yellow Bodied Yellow Giant (Curtis's Zilla and Ralphie greenish/yellow bodied Yellow Giants over 1000 grams), and Lemon or Yellow Headed Yellow Giants.

When he becomes an adult if he is a greenish/yellow bodied phase Yellow Giant, Garrett you may have a monster on your hands. This male looks as though he has white lips though. Maybe he is an Yellowish Green bodied Orange Eye White Lip. I am looking forward to an update with his progress.

Best Regards

Some pics from today.
Lots of yellow in the body, eyes very yellow. Blue hue along the back. He turns a very pale white\yellow when active.
For comparison last pic is one of my classic orange eyes with the white head, white back, white lips and turquoise blue body, no yellow.

Garrett, this was back in the early ninety's but I once saw an adult fully green male Parson at the wholesaler's. it was easily 90% green with some blue highlights. I thought it was a female from a distance but once I got close it was clearly a male with huge head and rostrum. Only time I ever saw one but it was clearly a green male Parson.

I just figured it was undergoing a gender realignment and left it alone like it wanted to be. :ROFLMAO:

Did he look like this? This is my favorite color phase of parsonii (from Masoala.)
When WC's first started coming in when Madagascar first opened back up I inquired with quite a few importers, and even had collectors in Madagascar on the lookout for this color phase but were unable to find any. I know Masoala Nat. Park is a protected area and closed to collectors, at least that's what I heard from boots on the ground. I have seen Masoala panthers listed for sale, so not sure what the story is there. It was relayed to me this color phase is quite rare and difficult to find in the wild.

Yes!! It looked like a female except for the male nose. It had some blue to it too. The color is spot on but the skull seems a little smaller than I remember. I had no idea back then there were other locales of Parsons. I was only aware of the white lipped and orange eyes back then.

I have this young male that has just started changing color. I've never seen a parsonii like this before and I'm
starting to think he might be a green giant or something similar. He was labeled as "'Andekaleka", which I thought would turn out to be a yellow giant with a dark head and yellow body.
Luckily I have a pair of these so I'm curious to see if he does in fact turn green as he gets older. His eye turrets are normally close to his body background color, or a very pale yellow. As a baby I actually picked this animal out as a female because he was green!
Has anyone else seen any parsonii like this from the recent imports?
