Grumpy Nosy Be

So my Nosy Be male is seeming to get really moody lately, hes recently shed and hes doing everything fine. Sometimes he just sits there and puffs up his chest and opens his mouth as if someone is there trying to attack him when there isnt. He has plenty of branches and foliage to climb around in and also has a good range of temperature with basking spot and cooler spots. Any help would be nice please on how to tame him down a bit.

I was wondering the other day if they have a time of year where chams are more grumpy due to it being 'mating season'.
My beardie be pissed this time of year, but only cause he wants to make some babies.

Do chams have a similar cycle?

That could be the reason, hes about 4 months old now though so i doubt that would be the reason. My pygmy chams are mating atm i think as hes always over the female.

My 5mo panther cham has been doing the same a lot recently, and I'm wondering if it's because he can see his reflection. I've also just installed a mister and I think that sets him off too, the idiot. Anything new you've done to his environment? Is he in a class vivarium and able to see his reflection?

Sometimes I think he does it just to show me who's boss. Like I'd forget.

Here on the east coast of US it's cold and cloudy most days and my chams are very inactive.
They mostly just want to be little lumps on a stick and just watch my every movement for their entertainment :D

Only Smeagie is the least bit interested in coming out of his cage.

When the weather changes (very soon, I hope) they will perk up :)

Noogie is the least active right now.
Normally, he is begging to come out as soon as he sees me, but now he mostly stays in one spot all day, then moves slowly to his sleeping spot at night.
And that's pretty much all he does.
Just sits on his stick and lets the dripper water drip on his head all day!!

The only good thing is, I don't feed them as much. They don't even want to eat every day, so I can skip days.
Great opportunity to build my silkie colony for the spring and summer :)
I hope to get tons of eggs.

I have a juvenile Nosy Be about 4 months old. I have him on hidden Chamera LOL. I've noticed he inflated his Gullar pouch and gaped. He's done it several times. Nobody else is near his cage and he doesn't have visual contact with any other Chams/animals. Today I noticed he was doing it and a cricket was walking on his tail.

They do that sometimes to stretch their skin before and after shedding.
They will like, gape their mouth really wide, stretch their head, and puff up, but its just to stretch the skin.

I do have a glass viv yes, i shall put up some more foliage to try stop the feflection, only new thing thats been added was a new vine but i dont see how a vine would make him angry. Shall keep you all posted!

To add upon this, I did see from another senior member, that this isn't really a good time for mating. They seem to mate in the spring and do those things when the weather is more active and warmer. So I really don't think that is the cause, he could just be stressed from the shed or possibly just wanting to be left alone lol they do that sometimes :D
