I feed mine constantly the gutload I make, which is why I usually refer to it as chow, but it is more nutritious than most gutload sold. I also feed healthy fruits and veggies all the time. And since I grow all my feeders from babies to adults and then to the new generation I think it does affect the entire health of the feeder in the long run. Like my stick insects. The average life span of an adult Vietnamese stick insect is no more than 12 months and usually sits around 8 months, my last adult female has lived passed 1 and a half years and the other two just died a couple weeks ago. I feed them a little different than most people do in captivity since most people only feed one type of food plant. I feed three regularly. I think it's extremely important for all feeder insects to feed them a wide variety of foods and try to cover everything.
