Gutloading

I stopped feeding the feeders crap a while ago. I'm giving them vegies and might start feeding them live fresh silkworms.

What about the branch. I think it's ok. It might be a little close to the top but the light bulb is all the way on the other side so he won't get hurt of anything. In fact in he morning he goes up there and waits till my dad feeds him because he's an early riser... The Cham knows :)

check out cricket crack, its very well priced, super good for the cricket to the chameleon. throw in some fresh veggies and your all set..

its so cheap its seriously less then 50 cents a day. Well I spent $26 and its 3 pounds shipped. it will last months...

Euthanising sounds so much better than what you said first though.
That's mainly what I was getting at when I replied :)

I would also rather he go to someone who cares a great deal more than the OP, I have also seen some of the things he comes out with...

yeah i was just pissed. i got my gf by volunteering at a shelter. used to see animals with embedds and mange regularly. thats like being in nam or somthin.

Chamster, maybe look at it this way. What you feed your chameleons is a) the feeder insect + b) the stuff in its stomach.

Why put another insect in the stomach? The feeder is providing all that exterior crunchiness...

If you want to give your chameleon fresh silkworms...do that. But there's no reason to "double up" on the insect material....

Fill the feeder's stomach with things that are good for your chameleon.

my chameleon doesnt eat silkworms at all....idk why...i looked for cricket crack couldnt find it in any local store here in mississauga... and now im feeding the superworms some carrots and potatos

Tiki Tiki Sells crick crack or go to the source. simsswiss is the guy who makes it and also sells it to us lucky forum members. Dude you need to stop posting and start reading up on stuff.

Chamster, Syn recently did me a big favor by pointing me to Sandrachameleon's blog. I'm going to pay that forward by doing the same for you. While the whole blog is worth reading I'm going to point you to three specific posts.

The first two discuss gutloading. I printed both these out to take with me when I go shopping.

The third discusses wild caught insects. I think you'll appreciate her "middle of the road" approach.

I want to know how old chamster is.

He mentioned something about his dad feeding the chameleon.

I think that might explain a lot...

Glad you have appreciated the blog :)
However Chamster has made it clear he/she isnt interested. I've offered him/her links in several threads previous, and the general response is he/she cant be bothered to read/research.

I'm 22... My dad just feeds him in the morning because I'm gone to university before the Cham wakes up. That's all

TBH one thing i've learned is, tons of great people are willing to help but if your not willing to meet them half way then you shouldnt waste neithers time.

PS: reading is a huge part of owning a chameleon due to the lack of knowledge when buying a chameleon (aside of from breeders)

so take a evening, read some posts and learn a thing or 2 to better your caretaking abilitys. dont we owe this to the chameleon since we chose them? they sure didnt choose us!

chamster just loves the attention. He is perfectly capable of reading archived threads/ or blogs. He would just rather create a new thread, about a topic that has been covered countless times, regardless of how ignorant it makes him look. Glad I could assist in your ultimate goal by giving this useless thread a bump. Btw, I'm only so rude, b/c you have earned it. Forum members have tried offering help... and on EVERY occasion you don't accept the advice.

there has been a lot of BS in the past about my ability of raising a healthy cham, so judge for yourself based on these updated pictures...

This whole thread reminds me of an old saying...

You can lead him to water, but you can't hold his head under.

I think that's how it goes;):rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
