Hammy and Ivy Baby Thread

5 weeks old and growing quick. Sunbathing (in the shade lol) a little this morning before it got incredibly hot.

[Ignore the washer, it isnt connected or anything. I just wanted these two to be higher up for security.]

Jannb has some sweet little girls that need good homes. ;) Don’t you wanna see how the other half lives??
I actually thought about it quite intensely... But my daughter had to get braces which was 6k and I have my heart procedure and medical bills to deal with this summer. So financially it is not something I can really take on right now. I do think in the future when I am ready that I would love to experience a female Veiled though. Maybe down the line when Jann has babies again and I have the money to do so. You know how I over spend when it comes to buying everything lol. I can't seem to do anything without going all the way for enclosure and items.

Sorry you have all those expenses. When the time is right, you’re going to give a lady cham the best home ever! ?

Here’s an update on the gang... April will be 1 month tomorrow. Paddy is about 7 weeks and Marsh is about 5 weeks. Paddy prefers sitting on my hand instead of the tree. They have all been very good and love silkworms!

Growing right along. 7 weeks old now! Pistachio is much more dominant than Mushu, and quite a bit bigger. I know it is because he is a sweet, shy boy. He will grow like a weed when Pistachio stops eating all his food! Haha. (Seperating them tomorrow to their own 2x2x4)

Jann, at what point do you begin to handle them? My little girl I hatched is two weeks old, I was thinking that I would leave her be until she hits four weeks.

I start handling as soon as I start cleaning the baby bins. Usually around 3 to 4 days. I have one extra bin and I pick up each one to move it to the extra bin while I clean their bin and then pick him or her up again to put back them back in their own bin. As they get older 2 to 3 weeks I hold them longer when transferring them. They start walking up my hand and arm and eventually try to go to my head.
