Handling

How do you guys handle your panther juveniles? just wondering. seems a lot different with the different aged ones.

its best not to handle neonates if it can be avoided , if you absolutely must handle them , do not just pick them up , offer them a skinny branch or twig and let them crawl onto it at their own pace (which may take a while)

If I need to handle them I do it the same pretty much as adults. You can get hand in front and under their front legs... and slowly use your other hand to coax them out. They really should be handled at a minimum... but if you are handling it, be careful as younger panthers tend to be kind of flighty.

Nice to see you found this forum!
