hanging fake vines

I'm just worried that she won't be able to find her food if I let it free like I do now. I'll try the cup because I know how much she will eat.

I'm sure she'll do fine with the cup. You might need to try different cups or different places for the cup. In my old cage I had a lot more space on the floor so I just sat it down there but now I have to put it up in the branches. Both times though he was able and willing to eat from it. Make sure she water you put it in there and show her there's food in it. Maybe even try and have her eat from it while you're still holding it.

I will try that. I'm pretty sure she prefers the bigger cage cause she didn't want to leave it and she she stayed kind of huffy when I put her in the small one.

I would just leave her in there and let her get acclimated especially if she doesn't want to leave. She's probably enjoying the extra space. Now you can take out the stuff from your old cage and put it in the new one to fill it in a little more until your other stuff comes. I'm so happy she's liking her new home already!

Me too, she seems tonadapt easier than I thought she would. I got her like the minute she got to the store so she didn't go into the wrong habitat immediately. I am happy that she is happy and healthy unlike my first one.

A happy healthy cham makes for happy mommies! I'm sorry to hear about your first cham. Did you get them from the same place?

Yes. My little Yoshi I only had for a day and I blamed myself at first but it turns out she was deathly I'll and the store didn't take her to the vet when it first started showing symptoms.

@LindsayG I got most of it done, do you think she'll need the other 2 vines I have coming?

That is looking great! I mean if that was all you had I would say it's good but the two extra vines could add a little more coverage which is always good. Maybe try them out and if it doesn't look good or too cluttered you could take them out. Once that pothos takes off you probably might not need them but until then they could help. Great job either way!

I have one pothos on the floor and one hanging plus the hibiscus, the humidity stays at 70%. I'm pretty proud of it as well, I think the one six foot vine will be more than enough to cover what's left open but I'll have to wait and see.

Perfect! That hanging pothos will quickly take over and you probably won't even need the one vine eventually. You did such a great job. Congrats! Now I'm super excited to get my big cage and set it up. I'm jealous lol

Its actually kind of fun to put together and it looks similar to what I had imagined. Lots of floral wire and push pins and lots of spending later. She ate today, I think she is finally settling in.

I use trash bag twist ties. They hold up well and are easy to take from one area of the cage to another if you want to move the vines. you could also puncture a small hole in the screen and bend the vine on the outside of the cage so it wont fall back in. Just make sure crickets can't escape if you do punch a hole.

Its so much fun. It's like art. It's one of my favorite things about owning reptiles is getting to setup and redo their tanks and cages and chameleon cages are definitely the funnest.

I used a few garbage bag twist ties for the vines I wasn't sure about permanent placement and used floral wire and push pins for most of it. I also used floral wire to put a feeder cup in the middle of her cage. I am pretty happy with her enclosure and and grateful for all the advice I got.
