Hasn't eaten for almost a week

My Veiled chameleon, Da Vinci, hasn't eaten in almost a week after his surgery from an abscess amount of pus on his sinus. Fortunately after his antibiotics and wound cleansing he look way more energetic than before. He hasn't been eating but he is pretty well hydrated. The Doctor told me to start his new feeding schedule with either Hornworms, silkworms, or even crickets. I have bought hornworms and not once has he tried it. oh and he is also shedding. Anyone have any ideas of what else I can try?

Try sticking an insect between his teeth when his mouth is opening and shutting as he drinks. If he takes it that might get him started eating again. You can also make "bug juice" from the Susan James/Dr. Lopez formula and use a needleless syringe to feed him.

This is what i did, try to smash the insect into pulp and simply place a bit of the smudge onto its lips, usually chameleon will start sticking out the tongue to gobble bit by bit. Works for me. Not sure if this works for you.
