Having problems finding ficus and pothos plants?

Ficus Plant

Hey there,

A good place to buy Ficus plants are from the reptil depot. Their website is reptiledepot.com

They should ship to wherever you would like but the store is located in Chatsworth, CA.

God, Kansas sucks so bad.

You know, as a Kansas native and newly born Oregonian with a touch of Nevada thrown in, I can agree. I don't actually know how you manage to keep dogs, let alone chams, in Kansas. I feel like if I were to move back, I would have to order all of my supplies and food online. I guess I am just spoiled with all of my hippy organics and raw diet for the dog.

As for pothos and ficus, they can be surprisingly elusive at times and when found, have really strange prices. I have gotten a hanging basket of pothos with six 9 foot long vines on it for $10 and have seen a tiny pothos start with three leaves being sold as "tropical bonsai" for $25, and this is all at the same place. I think you should request the plants you want and see if the store will special order them for you. You may even get a discount for special ordering it!

It is the luck of the draw, I guess. Sometimes you find what you need in an unexpected place. I found nice large orchids for $3 each at a grocery outlet, once. Keep your eyes peeled. ;)

I had the same problem last weekend. I couldn't find a decent ficus or pothos anywhere. Tried Lowes, Home Depot, 2 local nurseries, and Walmart. Nothing to be found. I go food shopping on Sunday, walk into a Shop Rite supermarket, and there's about a half dozen huge pothos hanging baskets swinging from chains in the produce department. No one at home was amused when I came in with more pothos than groceries.
