Hello - new to the hobby

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum and new to owning a chameleon, though I did have a bearded dragon for 9 years.
His name at the moment is in debate, but looks like it will be Vega.
I fell in love with this little fella very quickly and can't wait to bring him home next week!

Can anyone in the know say if it is a male or female. The shop owner is adamant it is a male. A red bar male too, so hoping for a big colourful boy!

He/she is a bit too young for me, but if at all possible if you could get other pics showing the base of the tail it would help a great deal in finding out. It looks like there could be a slight bulge, but can't tell.

Welcome to the forums!
It would appear the little fella has/had a small tail fracture if you weren't aware of that. Could be weak bone density but that can be fixed with good supplementing. A crooked tail however will stay crooked

Grimcamel: he does have a small kink, to be honest, that's one of the reasons I fell for him! My old beardie had a kink too, so it was like fate, finding a chameleon with the same, he was using his tail fine today and I will indeed be using the required supplements to make sure he's all good!
