just yesterday my baby veiled chameleon started to close his left eye, he fell in his feeder cup the other day and got dust on him maybe some got in his eye? someone also said his lights could be a problem i use 2 dome lights 5.0 UVB and UVA, his basking spot is very close to the lights maybe the'yre too bright i'm not sure. heavy warm misting , in the enclosure and a little just above the eye. or you can buy some saline eye drops to help moisturize the area to help open. Once open keep misting and giving drops to aid the chameleon in getting out what needs to get out.

should i put him in the shower?

How old is your cham? depending on his size putting him in the shower can be dangerous, cause if he is too small the waterdroplets can block his noze creating more problems.
