Help..Finally ready to buy...but where?

Hey guys, this is my first post. My name is Jesse, 37, and i am eagerly awaiting becoming a chameleon owner.

I have spent the last year slowly buying things to build a really nice cham set-up. I spent around 1,100.00 dollors and finally finished. I am now ready to purchase a chameleon, my problem is where. Ive done a bit of google research and have it narrowed down to 3 places. SCREAMELEONS, FLCHAMS, OR LLL.

Could someone plz help me out with this choice? Also if there is a better place than the ones ive mentioned then plz mention it. Price is no concern, im looking for quality and health.

The species im looking for is Ambilobe panther, baby, male.

Also i have a really nice starter cage for him that will be great till hes about a year old, and then into the ultimate set-up i created.

All three that you have mentioned are great sites for purchasing your chameleon. It is nice to see you have prepared way in advanced before buying him. Like myself and others we purchased everything with the chameleon without looking into detail on how the setup was suppose to be. I feel bad myself I have done it but this site has lead me in the right direction of cham keeping. Leave it to the pet stores it would be hell going by their advice.

Would you have any pictures of his setups, We would love to see your creations of habitats. Everyones creations are different !

Check out the classified section here on the forums. I just picked up a perfect Ambilobe from Entomotile and Rottsko has produced beautiful Ambilobes as well, among others.

Thanx for the reply, I dont have any pics but i am going to put some up as soon as i get a chance. The cham will have his own room to himself for calming effect, the set-up is screened, cherry wood frame, 48x48x84. complete built in misting system, lighting, heating, 7 seperate doors i can open all around the cage, vines, plants, 3 foot water fountain, timers, thermo and humidity gauge. ETC.

Cant wait to see him in it someday.

Private Breeder

is the best way to go always. Most of the time they are just as much in love with the species as you are. So you know it is more important to them; then breeding them for money, as some do. Although the three you mentioned are great as far as reptile stores/breeders. If it were me I would go with a private breeder; unless they had something specific you had your heart set on...

LOL, it seems overkill, but a have an extra room and i want him to feel real comfortable. Only problem is it want fit thru door if i ever have to move cage.

Will get pics up asap, it is killer looking.

I would prefer a breeder, but being new in the game i dont know any. Do you know of any you could post? Is thier a forum with reputable breeders list?

Welcome to the forums. I highly recommend a small time breeder that truly cares about their pets or a private individual who just breeds their pets every now and then.
