help found a stowaway what is it ?

I know this was mentioned earlier but I am would really lean towards a Mediterranean gecko - the large "bumps" on the sides of him are highly suggestive. Also the fact that these geckos tend to be quite hardy and have recently expanded their territory into the southern US makes sense if the plant came from Florida!

I don't think it's a Mediterranean Gecko... I have had many and they do not look like this. The belly pic actually sort of looks like a med gecko, but the dark brown pattern on the top doesn't seem like any I have had...

No it isn't, if you look up mourning geckos you get a totally different body style not to mention patterning and colors.

In my opinion the head shape is totally wrong. However the body can change with time. If it is a mourning gecko you will get fertilized eggs without another gecko being in the cage since they are parthenogenic.

I'm not very clued up on other gecko species, but I wouldn't rule out the Med gecko. I live between France and Kenya, where there are a lot to be found, and they certainly can go dark brown (within a minute, like chameleons).

Mediterranean house geckos are well known for being available in Florida. And his tail has the correct markings. If he has the correct skin texture I would agree he is most likely one.
