So I've had my first boy for about 3 months already he's a veiled. I'm obsessed so everyone says :D lol now I'm trying to pick between a male carpet or male jacksons. What do you all think?

I think it's what you would like. I haven't had experience with carpets, but I've heard that their care is similar to panthers. Jacksons are great :) really calm guys. Mellow I would say. The cages' size of both species is about the same pretty much; they're not big. Sooo... It really all comes to you :)

Yeah ive been thinking hard lol I'm leaning more towards a jacksons. Would keeping a male and female together not be a good idea? Like in the same cage?

Would have to be a very huge enclosure. Basically an entire room (literally) and even then you run a risk of them finding each other. You really don't want any chams to be housed in the same cage after a certain age. You run the risk of either one of them dominating for food, area, heat, water, and them stressing each other out causing numerous health problems. Also if the female because gravid she will be very defensive and be constantly stressed and upset which could lead to her becoming egg bound (assuming not a Jackson) or fighting hurting one another. It is just not a good idea for any chameleons to be housed together unless its a smaller breed like the pygmys.
