Hi, my Panther Chameleon is about 3 months old. I would like to know if it's a Male or a Female. And where I bought it they told me it was an Ambilobe......so I want your opinions on that and what kind of Panther do you think it is....Andapa, Ankaramy, Ambanja, Ambilobe, Diego Suarez, Moroansetra, Nosy Be, Sambava or Tamatave......and what color do you think is gonna come.

I will post some pictures when he grow up ;).

Thank You!

Welcome!

That is definately a female!

With female Panthers there really is no way to visual identify the local of the animal. Nosy Be , Ambilobe, Tamatave, no way to really tell, you have to inquire with whoever hatched her to be sure. Females may show subtle diffrenences between locale, but nothing solid enough to differintiate Locales as in males.

1000% female and locale is extremely difficult (but not entirely impossible) to figure out visually with females. Some females from some locales have very unique features others don't have, but that girl for example, looks like most every female out there, so it would really be hard to say.

Edit-Joe beat me to the post.

I thought it's a female as well.
Due to that, it gets quite hard to tell her locale.

Sorry.

I said female before reading anyones posts also. If it was supposed to be a male then I would definatly get a hold of the person who sold it to you and tell them you want to trade it. Females are actually more colorful as babies than are the males.

I also want to add that that is one healthy looking 3 month old female. Based on her size I wonder if she may a bit older than what you suspect? She is awesome!

definately female, you can tell for yourself by looking to see if there is a bulge near the very front of her tail, if there is one it is a male, if not it is a female, not all chams. have this characteristic, i don't think so anyways.
Yep, definately a female.
