Hey guys whats going on. Been lurking around the site a couple months and decided to join up. Im in the process of wanting to buy a chameleon now for about a year and am ready to pull the trigger.

So I am here to get some professional advice on How big to go with the Tank, and what I would really need inside the tank.

I live In New York, so Summers r hot, and winter gets cold. I am going to keep the tank on my computer desk in my room. I have 2 windows in my room. But I can say it does get hot inside from all the electronics running. Humidity maybe a lil problem here n there but Im sure I could fix that.

So with all said lemme know what you guys think. And hope you can point me in the right direction. Thanks guys

Scroll up top and check the sponsors.

Dragonstrand, canvas chameleons, diy cages, lllreptile all have nice and affordable options.

Size all depends on what kind of chameleon.. I'm gonna assume most likely a veiled or panther.. in that case they say 48"h x 24"d x 24"w is the standard MINIMUM for an adult. Some say 36"h is fine for a female but why short it?

I live in Ohio cold winters too. Humidity wise you may have to have a few sides with plastic to hold in humidity and use live plants.. you should be fine

Dragon strand and canvas probably have the nicest cages a little pricier though. At lll reptile you can get one of they're cages or a reptibreeze for like $100.. hope that helps

Read Most of that already. Just would like some more input and a point in direction, Dont want to mess anything up here thanks

Had you really read that all plus the links provided, all the questions you asked cage size vs cham size, humidity/temp and how to help these. Everything is all there. The only thing they don't tell you is what brand cage and really with a little searching I'm sure you can figure out which will be best for you.

Yeah I did, and doing it again. But thank you for the help

I prefer bigger cages. With winters here I went with screen top and front the rest wood. But I built mine.
