I havnt measured Donahue in a long time, Im not sure.
That does seem large for 5-6 months, but his colors led me to believe he was younger.
That is a good point, you all have different locals available, that most of us over here arent very familiar with, so he could be anything!

like you say time to settle in could be all he needs.. and if in a few months no colour comes or he dont display a changes in colour what local could he be or could he be a ill or poorly cham please forgive me for being over worried as i have only experence in keeping water dragons

He will DEFINITELY color up, he's still young. Give it a little bit of time and you'll see it come in.

Edit- Just to set your mind at ease, here was my Ambilobe when he was young (4-5 months) and then only 3 months later:

And he got way more colorful a few months after that too.

You can already see some orange/red and green. Maybe you can post better pics?
I encourage to fill the form, it helped me a lot when I brought my first cham home
