i have a drip system already installed. yes i have tried mealworms he put it in his mouth and spit it out. tomorrow i am going to go get superworms or what you recommend ?

i should turn of the coil bulb and just leave the heat bulb on tomorrow ? ? how long is it suitable to do this for, as for i don't get paid until next Friday and wont have significant funds to buy one this week.

Thanks

Buy a reptiglo 5.0 until you can get a reptisun. They're ten buck cheaper and will work, though they do have to be replaced more often. It'll be about 20-30 bucks to buy a reptiglo and a hood.

Try small-medium silkworms as superworms are large (yours is young right? I can't remember...) also try cultured house flies, hornworms, and roaches.

xanths, less tolerant of supps & light ???

Also, from what I've read the montane species don't need as much supplementation as other species so I don't dust his food every day

Out of curiosity, why would that be?
my guess would be lower metabolism due to cooler temps , i personally feel xanths are ever so slightly less tolerant of brighter lights than some other chams as well, as dw stated in a fairly recent post , althought the updated cfls appear to have a better and corrected spectral range, the jury is still out, my personal feeling is that cfls are too concentrated and uneccesarrily bright regardless of spectral range, so i still prefer linear. if you have to use a cfl i would ditch the reflector, jmo

i have also read that the cage set up should be "high". if im standing by the cage and im looking down on to him he is about 4 and a half feet from the ground. Should i raise him up higher i have a dresser that if i put him on there making it around 7 feet off the ground, and i would be looking up to him. Could that be a reason he is not eating?
