My chameleon azula is Gravid and is digging, I have vermiculite and a box read for the eggs, as for her I know your suppose To try to cool her off by turning her lights off for a bit to slow her metabolism or thats at least what Iv read of. But atm I have her 2 usual lights on and she's not done digging, do I leave them on or turn them off? Not sure also as to after she's laid should I treat her like normal or if I should again keep her at a slightly cooler temp to coop

The reason I ask is I normally turn her lights off at this time but with her still digging I don't know if I should let her finsih with them off or on

Just keep your normal light regime, she knows the hours. She may come out and start a new hole tomorrow or she may spend the night in this hole either way it's her decision. She'll be fine if everything else is good.

Don't let her see you watching her when she's digging or you may make her abandon the hole and oush her towards eggbinding.

Why do you want to cool her to slow her metabolism while she's in the process of getting ready to lay eggs? Just leave her be so she can get on with the job.

No worries, thank you. She won't see me I assure you I have the whole thing covered with a thin blanket, I can see her shadow with this light is all. And I just remembered reading it somewhere but I won't pay attention to it

Cooling a female to slow her metabolism is suggested to stop/slow reproduction/decrease clutch size after the clutch is laid. There's more to it than that though.
