My veiled just ate a fairly large hornworm and she had her mouth open ... I can stroll see in mouth!!! Do I reach in and take it out? Her mouth is closed but it is still in her throat. She is not am gasping for air.... What do I do?!?!? HELP PLEASE!!!!

If she is not in distress (thrashing around and gasping), leave it alone. The breathing opening for chameleons is in the front of the mouth, not the back of the throat like humans for exactly this reason. Keep an eye on her and set up a dripper or mist her so she can drink something if she needs help getting it down.

If she IS in distress, yes, try to pull it out IF you can do it without hurting her.

Sometimes they take their time to swallow something large. I wouldn't worry.

However, if they do a compromised respiratory system, eating something large might be too much for them. They need to stop breathing to swallow. In that case, feed smaller feeders until the respiratory issues are resolved.

Great picture, by the way.

Ok thanks guys!!!! I'm going to just leave her be. I do not want to stress her out. BUT LORD KNOWS SHE IS STRESSING ME OUT! Poor baby! But she is not allowing me to open her mouth to see and she is not having any distress that I can see. That picture would be fantastic if that darn worm wasn't there :)
