Hi, my Cham has this white spot on her leg. Can somebody tell me what it is? I’m thinking she’s about to shed but it looks a little odd.

Oh no, is there anything I can do to heal it? I just removed her stick further down so she can’t burn herself.Looks like a thermal burn to me.
You can take her to the vet so he can give you some cream for the burn.. Maybe someone knows some good creams here that doesn’t need prescriptions.Oh no, is there anything I can do to heal it? I just removed her stick further down so she can’t burn herself.
Well there is a problem, I live in a country where there is close to none vets that knows anything about chameleons. You can take her to the vet so he can give you some cream for the burn.. Maybe someone knows some good creams here that doesn’t need prescriptions.
Do you guys know some good antibiotics for burns on chameleons? @Beman @JacksJill @jamest0o0Well there is a problem, I live in a country where there is close to none vets that knows anything about chameleons.
Could I use sudocrem? If it is a burn then you need Silver sulfadiazine Cream to put on it.
To my knowledge the only thing we put on thermal burns is silver sulfadiazine cream. It is specific for treating the burn and any underlying infection that can come from it. It is also safe to use on them. I just looked up the sudocream and it has multiple ingredients that are not in the silver sulfadiazine cream. So I do not feel comfortable telling you to use it instead. I will tag in @JacksJill and she may know if sudocream can be used instead for a thermal burn.Could I use sudocrem?
What about Manuka honey? I’ve seen that recommended around the forums. To my knowledge the only thing we put on thermal burns is silver sulfadiazine cream. Yeah I dunno. My knowledge is limited there. I know they will use that on mouth issues. But for burns the Silver sulfadiazine Cream is the main one I have seen recommended. What about Manuka honey? I’ve seen that recommended around the forums.
So it’s turning a lot darker than yesterday( the burn) , I found this cream can I use this?I would not use the Sudocrem but if I couldn't get Silvadene I might use triple antibiotic ointment (like Neosporin) to start while I tried to get the silver sulfdiazine cream.
They don’t ship to my country?
Would you take the chance with the cream? I have very little options and I want the best for my little girl. Then the other might do but it has some weird ingredients and I don't know how they will affect the burn.
I have found 3 vets that specializes in reptiles, but It don’t say anything about chameleons I will be calling them tomorrow. Are you not able to go to a vet? The silver sulfadiazine cream is typically a prescription. I know there are a few countries that do require a prescription to purchase. If you want the best this cream is the best. And with the burn being on the joint in the leg I would not wait long to get treatment. Thermal burns get nasty when untreated.
