i have a 5 1/2 in female veiled chameleon. she is housed in a 4 x 2 x2 ft screened cage with a live palm tree plant and a pothos plant. for lightingi have a 40 wat lightbulb in a reflector dome. and a zilla uvb flourecent bulb. im looking for the best way to achieve the best humidty and temp level.

If you can buy a misting system but if you cant I've heard of putting a clear shower curtain on the sides or something like that, anyone correct me if I'm wrong

humidity can be increased by misting, running a dripper and using live plants. Also as suggested, some member use a shower liner or plastic bags to help. What are your humidity levels readying right now? As far as temps, what wattage bulb you use depends on your environment inside your home and how cold it is. What temps are you registering now, basking and ambient?

I like the exo-terra thermometers and hygrometers. I have 3 of each, but I went a little overboard as I always want to monitor 3 different areas of the ecosystem.

you can buy a digital thermometer at home depot for about $15 and they are pretty accurate. They read both temp and humidity. I also use a temp gun to check the different spots of my cages.

Temp gun works best and can be costly mine 100 bucks. I been wanting one of those UVB meters that tells you the output so it stays 25 and up. But there even worse over 100 bucks. Would be a great buy tho.

do you recomnd humidifiers

Wouldn't hurt for nighttime to put some water in the air. But you really need a dripper a misting system so they have water available all day. No need cage should be dry when lights are off. Reptifogger works very well but they break mine did.

i have the little dripper from the pet store as wel

That's a good dripper does it drip every second or few. The homemade ones even the ones I made from water bottles or empty milk jugs. Hate them
