Help with misting/dripping

We are just setting up our enclosure for a not yet aquired chameleon. Cage is a 2 x 2 x 4 screen cage with a schefflera, bamboo, and misc. branches. Sorry no pics right now. The problem we're struggling with is how to set up a mist system. My husband wants to DIY. He has bought a pump, a reservoir, and tubing. He ran the tubing along 1 side and put 3 nozzles on it. When it runs, there is no mist. It comes out in 3 streams. Basically in the 60 sec. it runs we get 3 areas where a small stream of water hits the plants and quite an accumulation on the bottom. I would say half the schefflera is wet, the other half is dry. I'm just not happy with this result but hubby is. I would rather see a true mist across the entire enclosure.
I guess my first question is this - is our current setup adequate? Also how do we keep the water from not splattering out of the screen and onto the wall, or carpet? When the drips hit the pvc floor, it spatters out a bit.

Thanks!

You need misting nozzles, they sell them at lowes. What type of pump are you using? My mistking uses a diaphram pump that puts out 65 psi. You'll want to have a dripper along with the misting system. As for the water, you'll need to build some sort of drainage system because of how much water chameleons require. Plastic shower curtains work good to stop the splashes. Pm me if you need help with any ideas.:D

Lole CricketKilla mentioned plastic shower curtains will keep splashes inside. As far as misting system goes, DIY might seem like a good idea but personally i'd recommend going with Mistking or Aquazamp. Both are around $100 bucks but they are great products and last a long time. Going that route, you get a product that does as advertised plus you'd get warranty too.
