please please help me really need to be pointed in the right direction.
my 10month old chameleon female is I think showing signs on being gravid
here are the signs:
1) she is always black, although the temps are spot on and she got loads of foliage.

2) when I hold her and out of the side of her eye she will see my male veiled she will have white spots all over her and will hiss. I will attach a pic of this.

3) she has slowed down her eating to about 1 cricket a day or none at all but she drinks every night.

4) she is in a big glass cage( with plenty ventilation don't worry) and she scratches at the glass a lot and is very restless, BUT she does not go down to the bottom of the cage and dig.

so my next move at this point is to put her in a big bucket with moist peat moss and see what happens.
sorry about the long message but just wanted all that I'm noticing to be mentioned, what should I do next.

i have had a female for over 3 years, i just keep a 5 gallon bucket filled in her enclosure at all times with a vine going down to it, once she has laid i empty it all out and refill it with fresh stuff....

so she always has what she needs incase im lagging on noticing every little detail...

but then again i have a massive enclosure for her so space isnt a issue...

sounds to me like she really close to laying... esp if scratching on stuff, scratching on the bottom is when they are really ready to lay

another big way to tell is she will get a very big belly, the day after she lays she will seem tiny, and will require a long warm shower...

this is what mine looks like when she is gravid, not black, mine just gets the gold lines and tons of really light blue dots, maybe the black is just from her being mad she sees another cham...
