You sure those colors are fine, and that is just his outdoor/sun colors? He might get warm on you and turn all green, and then in the cage under the lights darken up to heat up under the lamps.

"13w reptisun 5.0"

That cfl is borderline useless... Like its good for maybe 8" away before its uv goes down to zero., especially if its going through screen.

Hey! Your supplement schedule needs to change a little :)

You should buy a total of three different supplements:

- Calcium without D3 (dust feeders daily)
- Calcium with D3 (once every two weeks)
- Multivitamin (once every two weeks)

Also, mealworms are not good for chams since they could cause impaction. I'd suspend that immediately and switch to superworms instead while you get your crickets in.

One last thing that came to my attention is that you said he fell asleep on you. From my understanding a healthy cham doesn't sleep during the day. Let's wait to see what the veterans have to say about this.

@andrearamirezo91 that is the supplement schedule for a panther or veiled.
Jackson's get much less as they have slower metabolism.
Like this from the Jackson's Care sheet "Feeder insects should be lightly dusted with powdered supplement before being fed to your chameleon. As a montane species (native to higher altitudes) Jackson's have decreased supplementation requirements compared to tropical species due to metabolism differences. Use calcium (without D3 or phosphorus) twice a week, a multivitamin once a month, and calcium with D3 once a month."

@GalaxyGhostly it will probably take a couple weeks for him to settle into his cage and relax. Try to handle him as little as possible during this time for him to acclimate. Just hang out quietly in his room so he can get used to you for a while. Check out the care sheet if you haven't already.

Oh wow, thanks for the clarification! I’m assuming it has something to do with lower temps in the mountains? Gonna be researching tonight, thanks for the info :)
