i would seperate them cause your not really suppose to have two in one cage unless the cage is super huge in the wild they are lone wolves and only come together to mate keeping them in the same cage can and will be stressfull on them really the only time you want chameleons in the same cage is when they first hatch to a few months old and of course when your breeding which should be monitored cause it puts stress on the female then when their done breeding seperated again

My male and female started hard-eyeing each other after about 3 months of age. They were separated within a day or so after that. Get or build another cage ASAP or they will get stressed. Make sure they cant see each other through the cages.

A place called ' Everything Pets ' told me the same thing ( " We suggest to people that they get 2 and keep them together so they don't get lonely " or some other dumb reason which eludes me at the moment ) . Anyway , that's when I started researching and came across this site . After reading alot of posts , I learned that somebody was completely clueless ( and it wasn't the people on here , if that narrows down the choices ) . So I ordered 1 from Chad and Darci instead . She's healthy ... cranky , but healthy ... lol .

I suggest instead of the female you got to replace, take her back and start with one chameleon.

This may be the best route to go for now.

If you have one male, and one female, I would take back the female.

If they are both male, I would take back the one that is passive, and keep the aggressive one.

Aside from physically injuring each other, the less aggressive one will not be able to bask, eat, drink, and do what it needs to do to keep itself healthy, because the other one will not let it.

This is why as a general rule they cant be housed together.

I would not leave them together for another second.

If you dont have another cage, set a pothos in a tall bin for now or something. Then return one or buy another cage now.
